Ranking Bret Hart's UK Moments - From Worst To Best

2. The Undertaker Vs. Bret Hart (WWF One Night Only 1997)

After the UK Rampage event in 1993, the WWF didn't return to British shores for big events until 1997. In September of that year, the promotion held One Night Only, a card headlined by The British Bulldog vs. Shawn Michaels. Elsewhere, the rest of the show was remarkably solid.

In the co-main event slot, UK fans were treated to a rematch from that year's SummerSlam main event. At that pay-per-view, Bret Hart had beaten The Undertaker to become WWF Heavyweight Champion. One Night Only was 'Taker's chance to regain the gold, something that admittedly seemed far-fetched on a UK-only pay-per-view.

Still, even without the immediate threat of a title switch, the match was a sleeper hit. Actually even better than the SummerSlam bout mentioned previously, Hart vs. Undertaker at One Night Only is something of a hidden classic in WWE's UK archives. It's rarely mentioned, but deserves a lot of praise for how it was constructed.

Unlike the UK Rampage matches in earlier entries, this one is available on the WWE Network. It's well worth seeking out for those who haven't had the privilege.
