Ranking Every 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Match In NXT Ever
4. Hideo Itami Vs. Tyler Breeze: April 1, 2015
In September 2014, Hideo Itami was heavily touted by NXT general manager William Regal as the brand's greatest signing to date, and didn't take him long at all to live up to the hype. After overcoming The Ascension at TakeOver: R Evolution, he made an enemy out of Tyler Breeze at the onset of 2015.
Their TakeOver: Rival match was merely a small taste of what the two were truly capable of, and thankfully, their feud continued beyond that point. They met in singles competition once again in the month of March where Breeze avenged the original loss and evened the score.
In typical NXT fashion (and I say that as a good thing), that meant a 2-out-of-3 Falls match was next up on the list. Fresh off his appearance in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32, it appeared Itami had the win in the bag, but Breeze surprised the NXT faithful by beating Itami to win the third and final fall in clean fashion.
Of all the matches they contested in 2015, this was undoubtedly the best of the bunch. Itami had an awesome outing per usual, but it was Breeze who benefited big time from the win in proving he wasn't one to be underestimated.
