Ranking Every AEW World Championship Match From Worst To Best
1. Jon Moxley Vs. MJF (All Out 2020)
Just like Eddie Kingston did two months after, MJF seemed like the most suitable candidate to dethrone Jon Moxley. But alas, 'The Salt of the Earth' didn't do such a thing.
The main talking point here was that at just 24 years of age, MJF had been given the opportunity to main event the biggest pay-per-view of the year for the promotion that has positioned him as one of their top guys. For a guy only five years into his in-ring career, that's quite impressive.
MJF and Moxley were tasked with closing a rather dismal All Out on a positive note, which, of course, they did. Just look at the image above. MJF donned a crimson mask so severe that it almost made you feel sympathy for him. There's a section of social media who were furious with it being a blade job, however, the blood flow only added to the bout, rather than detract.
Similarly, by having Moxley use the Paradigm Shift while the referee was distracted, despite agreeing to have the manoeuvre banned for the title match, furthered the story even more so. It handed MJF his first pinfall loss since All Elite Wrestling started - furthering yet another point in the story arc.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman may not have won the AEW World Championship here, but rest assured, that title will belong to him one day. This more than proved he's capable of such a thing.
