7. Batista Vs. Triple H

Somewhat closer to the 25-minute mark, the Game’s meeting with Batista at Vengeance 2005 was a rather more well-paced match.

This was a real back-and-forth affair, with both guys giving as good as they got with an array of unorthodox foreign objects. A steel chain was used as both a whip and a noose, while the two then exchanged swings of a barbed-wire-laced chair. And as you may well have guessed, it resulted in an awful lot of blood.

But for all that gratuitous violence, there was still time for some guile in the match’s finish. With Triple H going up for the Batista Bomb, he managed to grasp a sledgehammer on the way. Ultimately though, he was too weak to use the weapon to full effect, and came crashing back down with the weapon still in hand, before Batista picked up the pinfall.

Another example of the best being saved for last in this awesome feud-ending contest.
