Ranking Every Randy Orton WrestleMania Match - From Worst To Best
2. Seth Rollins Vs. Randy Orton (WrestleMania 31)
Randy Orton’s most recent WrestleMania outing was also one of his absolute best, despite a lack of any streaks on the line or championships up for grabs. Instead, this was a straight-up grudge match against a former ally in Seth Rollins.
Though featured near the bottom of the card and afforded only 13 minutes, these two just about stole the show with a great all-round performance that ended in the most dramatic of fashions.
First, though, the contest began with both men showing off their athletic pedigree before Orton made a few early attempts at the RKO. Foiled by J&J Security, he soon turned his attention to Rollins’ cronies, seeing them off with a double draping DDT to the outside, before Rollins got in some signatures of his own, including a huge Asai Moonsault and a Phoenix Splash - albeit a Phoenix Splash that he missed.
But all of those high spots paled in comparison to the eventual finish. With Rollins going for a Curb Stomp, Orton popped up and caught his opponent on the way back down for one of the most impressive RKOs he’s ever pulled off.
All in all, this was just a top-drawer match, capped off with an incredible finish.
