Ranking Every Randy Orton WrestleMania Match - From Worst To Best
6. John Cena Vs. Triple H Vs. Randy Orton (WrestleMania XXIV)
At WrestleMania XXIV, Randy Orton was once again cast as the villain of the piece in another Triple Threat title match. This time, though, he not only entered as champion, but he left the very same way.
The match began with a nod to his previous ‘Mania three-way, with Orton grabbing the belt from the referee and striking Triple H. But the rest of this encounter had a rather more methodical pace to his WrestleMania 22 outing.
After Orton had taken control in the early goings, the action soon morphed into a back-and-forth affair, with submissions being traded amongst all three guys, including Triple H’s lesser-spotted reverse Figure Four Leg Lock rendition, as well as a return for the Crossface.
Suitably, the highlight arrived at the end of the match, with Triple H covering John Cena off the Pedigree, only to be punted by Orton from out of nowhere, as the champ snuck in to steal the pin for himself.
After just 8% of fan voters had predicted an Orton win, for the champion to somehow slither in and upset the odds made for a well-executed heel victory and a nice conclusion to the story of the match.
