Brock Lesnar's fifth WWE Championship reign might have started in the 2010s, but all of its best bits happened in 2020.

The Beast decided to make the Royal Rumble the most interesting it had been in years by deciding to enter as champion in 2020. Lesnar, who started the match in the number one spot, went on a spree. Everyone from Rey Mysterio to Keith Lee to MVP was sent flying, as the champ chucked out 13 people in a row.

Brock's eventual elimination was a thing of beauty. After Ricochet hit him with a low blow, Lesnar was sent tumbling to the outside by eventual Rumble winner Drew McIntyre. This set up the WrestleMania 36 main event, in which the Scotsman dethroned the Minnesota native to win the big one.

With his extraordinary run in the Rumble and his storyline with McIntyre, Brock Lesnar had an incredibly strong start to 2020. It did also include a pointless squash of Ricochet at Super ShownDown, but that doesn't drag it down too far. It was certainly better than what he did with the belt in 2019, which included that cursed match with Cain Velasquez.
