Ranking Every WWE Championship Reign Of The 2020s So Far

4. Bobby Lashley (March-September 2021)

Bobby Lashley WWE Champion
WWE

Bobby Lashley's WWE title victory in 2021 was over a decade in the making. Had things gone differently, he could have been champion during his first stint with the company, but fate had other ideas. After years of hard work away from WWE and suffering through some utterly dreadful storylines (remember his three beautiful sisters?), Lashley had finally done it.

Would his reign be worth the wait? Well, you've probably already worked this out, but it was.

Bobby's first big defence was against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37, a match it was assumed he would lose. He repaid the company's faith by having a great match at Backlash with McIntyre and Braun Strowman, and then one final win over Drew at Hell in a Cell.

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, though, as this reign included a nonsense match against Goldberg at SummerSlam, which revolved around Lashley beating up the Hall of Famer's son, but it also gave us Big E's special title victory.

Bobby Lashley did a fantastic job as champion, and it's a shame WWE didn't make more use of him as a main eventer before he left for AEW.
