Alexa Bliss did such a good job with her fake-out celebratory promo at the end of the first ever Women's Elimination Chamber that WWE had already managed to kill the bit it by the end of the year. But the magic of her maiden effort shouldn't be discredited due to the inferior tribute acts that followed.

It paid off an otherwise-excellent debut outing from the Raw Women's Division. Bliss the up-against-it Champion profited from the short-sighted selfishness of her challengers after Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose proved themselves overmatched for the occasion whilst Sasha Banks and Bayley's relationship continued to stutter.

Much like the Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank additions over recent years, the match was at times unspectacular but always solid - the sort of normality (with flashes of excellence) that justified why the match's inclusion on the annual schedule was long overdue. Astonishingly, there are pockets of fans that believe this sort of equality still shouldn't exist, but the talented crop of females that enter these encounters continue to prove those detractors wrong.
