Four year prior, we had of course seen John Cena escape the Chamber victorious, only to then be foiled by Edge’s Money in the Bank cash-in. And just as the aftermath was almost a carbon copy of our example from the previous slide, the matches themselves were also pretty similar.

Again, we saw a crop of old and new names in the mix. Veteran main eventers like Kane, Kurt Angle, and Shawn Michaels were joined by fresher faces like Carlito, and Chris Masters, and this time the new kids on the block fared pretty well.

Carlito and Masters, tag partners at the time, used their alliance to make it to the final three, with Kane, Angle, and Michaels the first to be eliminated. But eventually Carlito’s selfishness saw Cena overcome the odds, in the kind of finish that fans were steadily starting to grow tired of.

Lucky for them then that Edge would come out to rob Cena of his recently-retained title for a dramatic aftermath to a decent match.
