In Your House: Canadian Stampede has been heralded as the best all-round pay-per-view of 1997 before, and it's one Dave Meltzer rolled out the superlatives to describe when it happened. There's not enough praise one can give to the 10-man tag main event. It rocked the house for 24 full minutes.

Was this a one-match show? Was it hell.

Triple H vs. Mankind eased the Canadian crowd into their frenzy early, The Great Sasuke vs. Taka Michinoku was unique for the time and The Undertaker vs. Vader had enough significant star power to make up for the lack of urgency bell-to-bell. The fact that the WWF Title match was the 'worst' on the card says it all.

This was a nice tribute to Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling and a sparkling night for Bret Hart and his Hart Foundation troops. The decision to hold the show in Canada amidst the backdrop of Bret's anti-USA gimmick was also shrewd.

Believe the hype. This remains must-see.

Best Match: The 10-man main event.

Worst Match: The Undertaker vs. Vader.
