Ranking Every WWE To AEW Move From Worst To Best
29. Matt Hardy
While evidently not aided by the fact the return of his most-cherished gimmick and All Elite debut in general was unfortunately brought into being within an empty arena due to the pandemic's grip on the planet, each and every other attempt to seize hold of some relevancy in the wake of that lacklustre arrival has produced equally disappointing results for Matt Hardy.
Whether he's BROKEN, Big Money, or simply dipping into the Hardy Boyz nostalgia well, the one-time WWE player has routinely found a way to wiggle onto Dynamite and Rampage since making a quick switch over to AEW after his deal expired in March 2020. But his presence has often resulted in more eye rolls than enthusiastic "DELETE" slices.
The aforementioned Hardy Boyz reunion did at least hint at a long-awaited effective use of Matt in a creative arena he still holds the potential to excel in, but Jeff's real-life troubles have all but killed off any of the momentum the veteran brothers had conjured up in the lead-up to a reported title run. And Hardy once again now looks destined to become OBSOLETE.
