Ranking Hulk Hogan's WWE Returns From Worst To Best
8. Hulk Hogan Returns To Support Brutus Beefcake - Raw (22 February 1993)
Following Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake's assault at the hands of Money Inc., Hogan made a return to WWE to voice his support for his friend. Sporting a brand new all-red attire, he expressed his distaste for the attack before announcing that he and Brutus had aligned with Jimmy Hart and would be happy to challenge Ted DiBiase and I.R.S. on any given occasion. This eventually led to a match between the two teams at WrestleMania IX.
This return is historic for a number of reasons. Not only was the birth of the Mega-Maniacs, it was The Hulkster's first appearance on WWE programming in nearly a year, after he had taken time off due to the steroid allegations that were made against him. Moreover, it was his first ever appearance on Monday Night Raw — the show that went on to become the flagship program of WWE. Curiously, it was also his only in-ring appearance on the show during his prime Hulkamania days as he ended up heading to WCW the following year. It would be almost a decade before he returned to the red brand.
