Ranking Top 10 WCW Main Eventers In WWE

1. Booker T

Unlike everyone else on the list, Booker T is the only one who got better after his WCW career ended. It didn't start out that way, though, as it looked like Booker was going to be lost in the WWE mid-card forever.

After The Invasion, Booker was pushed back down the card and ended up feuding with Edge over a shampoo commercial. He was then stuck in an entertaining, but limited tag team comedy act with Goldust, before WWE finally gave him another chance at the top. Unfortunately, he came out on the wrong side of the feud with Triple H at WrestleMania 19 and entered the mid-card once more.

In 2006, Booker enjoyed a late career resurgence as he became a McMahon favorite on the SmackDown brand. He won the King of the Ring, and morphed into the obnoxious heel King Booker. Along with his wife Sharmell, he was involved in big programs with Rey Mysterio, Batista, and later HHH. Unfortunately Booker was upset with how the feud was booked, racked up a wellness policy violation and left the company. He traveled on over to TNA for a couple years, then returned to WWE at the 2011 Royal Rumble.

Booker is only one of eight Grand Slam Champions in WWE history, and had a lengthier career than other, more popular WCW main-eventers before him. Lately he's been used as a commentator on SmackDown and Raw, and spent time in General Manager role. For the WCW originals, it was Booker T who was the last one standing. An impressive feat that's a testament to his popularity and ability to reinvent himself in his later years.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
