The pay per view nobody asked for ended up delivering pretty well. Yes, this was more a test of Peacock’s servers than a bonafide event, but Fastlane provided two corkers, another two solid matches, some build for ‘Mania - and a healthy dose of nonsense!

Starting on a positive, Reigns vs Bryan was a superb affair. The two have magnificent chemistry and are among the best storytellers in the business. If it got a bit overbooked towards the end, well, hopefully that’s all in the aid of setting up a WrestleMania classic.

Drew and Sheamus blew off their fiery feud with a slugfest that made the Scot look immense before his showdown with Lashley, and Rollins and Nakamura grafted in the midcard, with the former hopefully set for a great bout with Cesaro.

The women’s tag match was decent if again strange in their use of Banks and Belair, and Apollo Crews and Big E will surely have a chance at redemption after a botched finish. Strowman’s squash was dire, and the business with The Fiend, Alexa Bliss, and Randy Orton continues to be bonkers - but nothing if not interesting.
