Rebooking WWE December To Dismember: 7 Ways To Make It Better
5. CM Punk Vs. Mike Knox - Special Referee Kelly Kelly
One of the more compelling stories on ECW television over the autumn months in 2006, was the CM Punk/Mike Knox/Kelly Kelly 'love triangle'. Okay, it wasn't like it was quality drama or anything, but it was still better than drek like the Zombie or matches such as Batista versus Big Show. Considering the time invested in the story, it's incredible that Punk and Knox never really got their big blowoff match. December to Dismember, the first WWECW PPV, would be the perfect place to do it. With a couple months of solid build, fans would be interested (they were already way into Punk). As an added bit of intrigue, object of their affections Kelly Kelly would be the special guest referee. Punk would win (since he had an undefeated streak going at the time and clearly had more potential to break out) after Knox was distracted by Kelly's exhibitionist shenanigans. Big burly Mike would attack Punk after the match and march out with Kelly Kelly, to get his heat back.
