Roman Reigns' 10 Best WWE Matches
1. Vs. Brock Lesnar And Seth Rollins (WrestleMania 31)
When WrestleMania Play Button came around, Roman Reigns was heading into the lion's den.
Months of being pushed against the wishes of fans culminated in his first 'Mania main event, and only the third PPV singles match of the young man's career. Fans were expecting a disaster of a match that would end with a chorus of boos as Reigns unseated Lesnar as WWE Champion.
Instead, they got an absolute classic of a main event proving, despite our continual misgivings about Roman Reigns as the top guy, he absolutely delivers when it counts, and this was Exhibit A. Reigns took an absolute beating from Lesnar, receiving suplex after suplex after suplex (this was before such a formula for Brock matches became stale). In just under 15 minutes, Reigns and Lesnar produced all killer and no filler.
And then, of course, came the iconic finish, as Seth Rollins cashed in his MiTB briefcase to make the match a Triple Threat. An intense and heart-pounding finishing sequence saw all three men perform their finishing maneuvers, with Seth picking up the pieces and pinning Roman to win the title.
The match was a work of genius performed brilliantly by all men. Roman Reigns put his coronation on hold and allowed the night to be about his former Shield brother, even taking the pinfall that made his friend champion. What many thought would be a doomed show turned out to be a classic. It's one of the many examples of Roman Reigns going into an unfavorable situation and making the best out of it.
Stay strong, Joe. We're rooting for you.
