Roman Reigns' 10 Best WWE Matches

4. Vs. Kevin Owens (Royal Rumble 2017)

In late 2016, Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens had a dreadful program on television.

Not to say any of their matches were necessarily bad, just to say that the two (or their buddies Seth Rollins and Chris Jericho respectively) seemed to wrestle each other week-in and week-out, making RAW an oppressively dull, predictable, and insulting product. It was this banality that contributed to the fan consensus at the time that SmackDown was far and above the superior show during the early days of the new brand split.

At Royal Rumble 2017, with the Universal Championship on the line, in a No DQ match, Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens decided "F It," and completely erased the ill will built. In a completely unhinged spot-fest, Reigns and Owens brought everything to the table, and then promptly smashed through said table. With Stone Cold Stunners, whacky chair spots, and run-ins, this match stood in stark contrast to the wrestling clinic between John Cena and AJ Styles later in the night, but was nonetheless totally exciting and satisfying in its own right, and added an extra dimension to an underrated card.

Roman Reigns may usually be booked in p*ss-poor feuds, but when he and his opponent are on the same wavelength and ready to deliver, by golly do they deliver.
