3. The Canada Promo In 2005

One more unforgettable moment that owes in part to the Screwjob. As mentioned earlier, during the feud with Hogan, Michaels was given the task of being the bad guy. He was also the one person in the feud who was on television every week trying to sell the SummerSlam match.

Working as the heel for the first (and last) time since his return, HBK had to work overtime to get the crowd to boo the living legend. One place the audience needed no encouragement was Montreal, for reasons that should be blatantly obvious by now. He opened the show, immediately taking control of the crowd and setting the bar for the rest of the roster to attempt to clear.

While it's undisputed that Michaels is one of the best workers of all time, he never had the electric promo skills of The Rock or Chris Jericho. He was, however, dreadfully underrated on the mic, and seeing him tear into the Canada crowd for 15 minutes was like having the Shawn of '97 back for one night only. Seeing him tease the outraged fans with the cheeky twinkle in his eye, he let the old Heartbreak Kid come out and play.

Who's your daddy, Montreal?
