Paul Heyman thinks Roman Reigns should be the first WWE star in history to be nominated for an Emmy Award.

The 'Wise Man' told Variety that he'd put Roman's character work up against anybody in the television industry right now. Heyman is incredibly proud of the way he, Reigns and others have developed his 'Tribal Chief' persona and added several layers since it debuted back in 2020.

Paul admitted he's fully aware that some would chuckle at the thought of a professional wrestler being nominated, but he thinks Roman deserves it. Anybody who has watched (and enjoyed) the ongoing Bloodline story also involving The Usos, Solo Sikoa and now-former member Sami Zayn would agree.

It's been one of the most pulsating and immersive tales pro wrestling has even thrown up.

Heyman revealed two direct inspirations for Reigns' recent work: James Cagney’s Rocky Sullivan character in 1938's 'Angels With Dirty Faces' flick, and Marlon Brando’s Colonel Walter Kurtz in the 1979 film 'Apocalypse Now'.

Roman has done his homework, and Paul claims they're not finished yet. Closing, he added that the pair want to do things pro wrestling fans have never seen before.
