With several free spots still available in both the male and female Royal Rumbles, Fightful Select have provided information on several names reportedly backstage at the show and potentially set to feature in the Royal Rumble matches. Spoilers ahead, so click back now if you'd rather maintain the surprise for the show itself.

The aforementioned sources noted that Kane and NXT superstars Curt Stallion and Santana Garrett have all been spotted behind the scenes at the ThunderDome, but there's yet to be further confirmation as to whether or not they will wrestle in their respective Rumbles. Charley Caruso noted during the Kickoff Show that several surprises were expected across the evening due to all the empty space in both battle royals.

News broke earlier that former United States and Tag Team Champion Carlito was also expected to appear in the men's match. Should this go ahead, it would be the second generation star's first WWE match in over a decade have last wrestled for the company in May 2010.
