Sting Set For Elaborate WrestleMania Entrance

Details on WWE's plans for Sting

WWE are set to give Sting an elaborate entrance at WrestleMania 31. The company is advertising for extras to play "scarecrows", which links thematically with Sting's use of The Crow character. Alternatively, perhaps the scarecrows will be used in Bray Wyatt's entrance. It would fit in with Bray's spooky country personality, and WWE are likely to do something theatrical with Bray's trademark entrance. However, most reports are linking the scarecrows with Sting, and that certainly seems the most likely scenario. This news follows on from earlier in the week when WWE were reported to be looking for male models to play marching Russian soldiers. Visual set pieces like this are a hallmark of WrestleMania shows. It gives the occasion an extra special feel, although detractors would point out that special entrances are often style over substance. Proper wrestling fans would much rather see more wrestling time. Instead WWE book five minute slots for entrances, which sometimes end up going to ten minutes. It is never good to see an entrance lasting longer than some of the undercard matches, but it has been known to happen in previous WrestleMania shows. It is akso likely that WWE will book special entrances for John Cena and Triple H.
