Sting's merchandise is already amongst the best sales in WWE, according to figures posted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This is considered a big boost for a potential WrestleMania 31 match, with fans already signalling to WWE that they'll put money down for the WCW Icon. When you consider he hasn't even done anything other than a WWE 2K15 video advert, just imagine what Sting's merchandise sales could be like when he's actually on WWE TV. Vince McMahon will now be desperate to feature Sting in a match at WrestleMania 31, WWE now have firm proof that there's money to be made. According to the Observer, these were the top ten sellers at arenas in the last month - 1. John Cena 2. Roman Reigns 3. The Usos 4. The Wyatt Family 5. Brock Lesnar 6. Sting 7. Sheamus 8. Daniel Bryan 9. Dean Ambrose 10. Hulk Hogan A sixth placed position for Sting (above Bryan and Hogan) is most impressive. It is worth noting that Sting gear didn't do all that well in WCW or TNA, so WWE will be very happy that he's already doing numbers on that front. Another point is that there had been some concern that WWE's younger fans wouldn't know who the Stinger is; this list now appears to diminish that notion. It's also good for WWE to see The Usos so high up this list. The popular tag team have been one of the better in-ring aspects of recent shows, so it's good to see that resonating into commercial success. What is concerning is the dramatic fall of Daniel Bryan's merchandise. The old phrase "out of sight, out of mind" springs to mind. The lengthy absence required by Bryan's injured neck has undoubtedly hurt his once promising main event career. When you see Cena and Reigns at the top merchandise selling spots, you have to wonder if Bryan will ever be able to catch back up.
