The Complete A-Z Of The Undertaker

Undertaker's first punt at the WWE Title since his week-long reign with the gold in late-1991 resulted in a feud with champion Yokozuna and an insane match at the 1994 Royal Rumble.

The two tangled in a casket match which had been promoted via a series of vignettes showing Undertaker constructing a 'double deep double wide' coffin big enough to house the mammoth sumo titleholder.

However, Yokozuna and manager Mr Fuji had a plan.

Utilisting the help of ten heels, Yokozuna charged the villainous roster with downing 'The Deadman' while he stole Paul Bearer's urn, releasing a thick green smoke that apparently represented 'the power of the Undertaker'.

Bereft of life and suffering the tremendous beating, 'Taker was rolled into the casket in dramatic defeat. But Yokozuna hadn't finished the job.

Speaking through a camera somehow inside the casket, Undertaker appeared on the arena's big screen to vow revenge, which he'd take in a return bout at that year's Survivor Series in November.
