The Fiend: All Live Appearances Ranked From Worst To Best
4. The Fiend Attacks Finn Bálor, Raw 15th July 2019
Finn Bálor’s WWE career might not have quite hit the expected heights since his very brief Universal Title reign but at least he’s cemented himself in the history books by being tied into some important firsts for The Fiend. His first match and here his first ever live appearance.
This one will replay in video packages and Network retrospectives for decades.
It was the moment fans had been anticipating, with equal parts longing and dread, as we finally got to see The Fiend in action.
It didn’t disappoint.
Finn was celebrating a victory when suddenly his music wound down and lights started going out around him. As darkness enveloped the arena, there seemed to be genuine confusion in the crowd as something could be heard developing in the ring. Then the lights come on, and there he was, holding a prone Bálor. The cry came from the announce table:
“You know who is. It’s Bray Wyatt. Bray Wyatt is here!”
The Fiend hit a vicious Sister Abigail and left the viewer with that looping Bray Wyatt laugh echoing in their ears as relief and euphoria washed over them.
He was a heel, but never mind.
