The Rock's 10 WWE World Championship Reigns Ranked From Worst To Best
9. WWE Championship (9th) 21 July 2002 - 25 August 2002
Shortly after going one-on-one with ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania X8 in a legendary match, The Rock took a brief hiatus from wrestling to film The Scorpion King.
Meanwhile, a certain ‘Next Big Thing’ needed a babyface to destroy at SummerSlam and become the youngest WWE Champion in history - a record that belonged to The Rock himself, by the way. So, after returning in June 2002, 'The People's Champion' won the WWE Undisputed Championship at Vengeance in a triple threat match against Kurt Angle and then-champion, The Undertaker.
One month later at SummerSlam, he did the job for Brock Lesnar, who won his first WWE Championship and conquered The Rock’s record. Rock was booed out of the arena at SummerSlam, and after another hiatus, returned in early 2003 with a great Hollywood inspired heel persona.
