The Undertaker's 10 Greatest Comebacks

8. Survivor Series 1996

One of the most devastating losses of Undertaker's career came at SummerSlam 1996, when his longtime manager Paul Bearer turned on him. At that show, Bearer hit Undertaker with his signature urn, helping Mankind beat "The Phenom" and establishing himself as one of 'Taker's archenemies.

The war continued, with Undertaker and Mankind meeting in October at In Your House: Buried Alive. That show featured the first appearance of the titular match, and though Undertaker was able to defeat Mankind, a post-match assault from The Executioner left 'Taker pushing up daisies.

Undertaker was out selling the beating until Survivor Series, where he was scheduled to face Mankind in a match that would see Paul Bearer suspended in a cage. When 'Taker came out for the bout, it was clear he was none the worse for wear - he lowered down to the ring on a zipline while wearing a tremendous pair of leather bat wings. Clearly, he had won the mental part of the battle.
