The Undertaker's 10 Most Notorious Urban Legends

4. He Didn't Want To Put Over Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 30

Story: It's the biggest WWE story of 2014. When Brock Lesnar beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30 to end his undefeated streak it shocked a lot of people. We couldn't believe it would happen because we just assumed it would continue until Undertaker decided it was time to stop wrestling. That was it. No debate. It just made sense. There are several versions to the story. Jim Ross has said on numerous podcasts that he was told that Undertaker didn't know about it until the day of the show and he was absolutely fine with it. Others have theories that it was really done last minute with only a handful of people knowing what would happen. Those that feel that way have that opinion because if it was decided upon weeks earlier then maybe Undertaker would get the finish changed. Recently, there was even a comment by WWE Hall of Famer Ted Dibiase Sr. where he said that he didn't think it was supposed to happen. His feeling was that they did it because Undertaker suffered a concussion or somebody just made the call during the match. He was wrong most likely, but it still made it onto wrestling news sites. Why People Believe It: There are some fans that believe that Undertaker considered The Streak to be this amazing thing that should never be broken. They feel like he only put over Lesnar because Vince McMahon forced him to and that he didn't really want to do it. Should We Believe It: No. He had no problem putting over Lesnar. In fact, there were reports that Undertaker wanted to put over Lesnar at WrestleMania in 2010 or 2011 if they could have brought him in at that point because he's always been a supporter of Lesnar. He felt like Lesnar (and Paul Heyman) could really make something by ending The Streak. As we're seeing on WWE TV these days, he might be right about that.
