The Undertaker's 23 WrestleMania Matches - From Worst To Best
4. CM Punk (WrestleMania 29)
There is nothing more that CM Punk wanted than to headline a WrestleMania. For all the talk about the event and the nicknames lent to it, being the in the last match of the night validated many a career. It meant that, if only for that night, they were one of the two biggest stars on the planet. Unfortunately, he would never get that opportunity. In his final 'Mania appearance, he battled The Undertaker in one of the night's co-main events, a match that was as much a foregone conclusion as any. Yet, the talent of the performers allowed them to deliver a bout that had fans on the edge of their seats, wondering if this was the year that the iconic streak added a "1" to the loss column. Punk threw caution to the wind, launching himself off the top rope with an elbow drop onto Undertaker and through an announce table. He controlled the majority of the match, clearly appearing to be the superior wrestler. He got in a ton of offense and looked very strong throughout, especially after bashing The Phenom in the face with the urn and nearly scoring a monumental upset. A late attempt at the GTS was countered into the Tombstone and Punk's quest for immortality came to an unsatisfying end. The match was brilliant, the latest in a five-year stretch of superb showings from wrestling's greatest phenomenon.
