The WWE SummerSlam 2016 Card Fans Wanted (But Didn't Get)

2. Triple H Vs. Seth Rollins

For nearly two years, Seth Rollins was the "chosen one" of The Authority, the Superstar hand-picked by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to be the face of the company's future.

Before his injury in October 2015, though, it appeared as though the honeymoon was nearing its end. Rollins, his hubris fueled by several high-profile victories over the top stars in the industry, began taking sole credit for his successes while lashing out at his superiors when things did not go according to plan.

It certainly appeared as though the self-proclaimed Man would clash with The Game at WrestleMania in a match that would cement Rollins as the face of the promotion and bring an end to the tired Authority story.

Instead, the injury robbed fans of that possibility and left them hoping that the eventual clash between mentor and protege would occur at SummerSlam in August 2016.

Unfortunately, Triple H has been missing from television since a WrestleMania 32 loss to Roman Reigns and Rollins is otherwise preoccupied with his WWE Universal Championship feud with Finn Balor.

Once again, fans are forced to wait for the next natural progression in the Rollins-Triple H story.
