These Wrestlers Just Had Their WORST Match Ever!

Make no mistake, Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander are two of the most impressive and consistent workers on the entire AEW roster.

Both ladies are easy to root for, possess some seriously powerful offence, and barely ever produce a dull showdown.

The pair's Worlds End pre-show fight wasn't exactly a boring match either. It just ended up being remembered more for its quite terribly botched finish than the typically excellent work that came before that fumbled ending.

Giving their all and beating the crap out of each other with devastating suplexes, wicked spinebusters, and brutal powerbombs, a gripping encounter began to unravel on the back of a completely missed enziguri from Willow.

From here, the pair just weren't able to properly recover as Nightingale ultimately botched her Doctor Bomb twice, and an initially quite engaging performance sadly soon became Willow's worst in AEW to date.

That second attempt went so horrifically wrong, it seemed like Statlander had to call an audible and raise her shoulder at two after the clunky finish attempt.

The opponents did finally nail the fierce move on the third attempt. But by then, the pulsating momentum that had been built up to that point was lost, with both women looking understandably disappointed in the aftermath.
