These Wrestlers Just Had Their WORST Match Ever!

Whether you're a lover of the 'Visionary' or find yourself sticking your fingers in your ears every time he cackles his way through a promo, there's no denying that Seth Rollins has successfully transformed the World Heavyweight Championship from a 2nd place trophy into a prestigious top belt.

Putting on routinely entertaining, breathtaking, and quite creative battles against performers like Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Finn Balor since winning the strap back at Night of Champions 2023, it appeared this 'Freakin' champ could get a 4-star banger out of just about anyone on the roster in this form.

Then, (that date again) January 15 came around, and Rollins brought a quite subpar evening of Raw in-ring action to an end with easily his worst-ever world heavyweight title defence... and possibly his worst main roster match since a certain Fiendish Hell in a Cell disaster.

Evidently not believing Jinder Mahal had it in him to form one half of a captivating main event title fight on his own, WWE pumped a ridiculous amount of smoke and mirrors into the contest, with the likes of Sanga, Veer, Drew McIntyre, and Damian Priest all distracting both Rollins and the audience away from the painfully drab battle.

WWE had done little to establish Jinder as a genuine threat to Rollins' reign, admittedly, but the excruciatingly basic layout didn't do the 'Modern Day Maharajah' any favours either.

And while the pair were able to use the many moving parts to create a half-convincing near-fall late on, this monotonous bout will only ever be remembered as the awful match that left Rollins with a battered knee once again and made Tony Khan fume on X.
