It's The Pitbulls!

Gary Wolfe, who wrestled as 'Pitbull #1' alongside Anthony Durante's 'Pitbull #2', has told Wrestling Inc that the team turned Vince McMahon down twice during their career together as a tag-team.

Both occasions occurred in the mid-to-late-90s. During that time, The Pitbulls earned rave reviews for their work in Paul Heyman's ECW, and had also wrestled a few tryout matches for the then-WWF between 1989-1990. Vince wasn't too interested back then, but he reportedly wanted to bring the team in after hearing of their ECW success years later.

Wolfe wasn't too interested.

He was still a little p*ssed off following an incident involving Jim Cornette during a tryout in 1998 - according to Wolfe, Cornette wouldn't let The Pitbulls perform their finish during a match with The Headbangers on Shotgun Saturday Night. That didn't sit well with Wolfe or Durante, so they decided against coming into the promotion full time.

Wolfe didn't go into specific details on the other occasion he and Ant said no to McMahon though, but his comments suggest it was around the same sort of time.

Anyone who saw The Pitbulls in ECW will know that they would've been a fine addition to the WWF's tag roster.
