Hard To Kill was a rip-roaring success for TNA, but how many buys did it get on PPV?

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that TNA's Hard To Kill 2024 pay-per-view on 13 January pulled approx 60,000 buys. To put that into context, it matches the number pulled in by Genesis 2006 - that show featured the first one-on-one showdown between Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe.

Hard To Kill was a raging success then.

Dave Meltzer's sources told him the pay-per-view bagged 19,700 traditional television buys. The rest of the 60k was made up of online streaming. Incredibly, Hard To Kill's core TV buys more than doubled the 6,900 number set by Bound For Glory in late-2023.

That event was held under the old IMPACT Wrestling name, so it's clear there's some buzz for the return of the TNA brand. It'll be interesting to see if the company can keep that momentum going. They don't return to traditional pay-per-view for a few months, but will present Sacrifice on 8 March via streaming services.

It's exclusively online.

Ex-WWE star Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) made his TNA debut at Hard To Kill. In addition, Moose defeated Alex Shelley to become the brand new TNA World Champion.
