TNA Impact Wrestling: 7 Reactions To This Week's Show

1. MAIN EVENT - Angle And Anderson In A Steel Cage: Part Two

http://youtu.be/WSyi00v9VrA Throughout the evening, the build for this main event match has been paramount, with Samoa Joe asserting that he would personally be ensuring that nobody interferes with Angle's beatdown of Anderson, and also aggravating Angle's young protoges Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco in the process. Later in the evening and Joe has been taken out backstage, presumably by some of Aces & Eights, and so Angle will have to go it virtually alone. Anderson enters the arena from the same entrance point as the other members of the group, wearing the gang colours proudly. Anderson is beginning to take the persona of the aggressive gang member well, and looks like a person who has for too long been ignored, as channels that into his performances. Angle quickly gets into the cage, and the main event is on. The match itself is full on action and impact, with both opponents hitting their biggest moves on each other, and using the cage to the extent of its capabilities. Anderson looks particularly strong early on and provides a few heel tactics, such as pulling Angle off of the ropes he is climbing up to low blow the Olympic Gold Medallist as he falls down. Angle though continues to hit every move in his arsenal, including a powerful Angle Slam from the top rope as Anderson attempted to escape the steel structure. This match was unlikely to be as epic as their 2010 encounter, but the crowd were certainly pumped about this contest, and eventually Angle was able to tightly apply the Ankle Lock to force Anderson to give up and score the hard-fought submission victory. But there was still more to come as the night drew to a close, as a member of Aces & Eights attempted to scale the cage after the match to pick on the tired Angle. Brisco opened the cage door and instead of exiting the ring, Angle told him to lock it so the two of them could corner and unmask this member of the group. However, the gang member himself did the honours for Angle, as he removed his mask to reveal himself as Garrett Bischoff. Angle was stunned, whilst Brisco said that he had no idea that Bischoff was part of the group. Angle went to deal with Bischoff, before Brisco attacked him from behind, and the two newest members of Aces & Eights proceeded to beat down the Wrestling Machine inside of the locked cage. TNA are currently doing a very good job of keeping this group both relevant and dangerous (as long as they don't have to face Magnus every week).

Hopefully you enjoyed it enough to check out the show for yourself, and next week we will likely see more answers over the motivations of Bischoff and Brisco for their betrayal of Angle, the tag team tables match, and possibly the return of Jeff Hardy and his response to his attack at the hands of the dangerous Aces & Eights.
