TNA Impact Wrestling Review Nov 4th - Roode vs Storm
Tonight there are PUMPKINS in the crowd and the World Champion James Storm is first out to the ring.
Impact Wrestling! November 4th 2011! Tonight there are PUMPKINS in the crowd and the World Champion James Storm is first out to the ring. After a bit of blabbing about growing up in the South, respect and drinking beer, he brings out his opponent tonight, Bobby Roode. Storm tells him to bring everything he got. Roode thanks him for giving him a second chance in his career by coming up with all the ideas for Beer Money then says tonight theyre going to steal the show. Eric Young arrives backstage with Ronnie from the Jersey Shore. Bah! Id forgotten that was happening. Knockout Tag Team Title MatchGail Kim and Madison Rayne w/Karen & Brooks vs. Tara and Tessmacher Texas ring gear for the champions tonight if you care about that kind of thing. Madison gets double teamed with a big suplex and tags Gail Kim in. She goes right at it with Tara, who gets the better with a back body drop. Gail crawls over and tags Madison back in. Tess takes her down a few times. Tess with an ass to the face on Madison. Gail Kim grabs her from the apron as the ref is handily distracted. Madison tags in, but Tess manages to tag Tara in. Tara turns to give Madison a moonsault and Gail sprints in and takes her down. Tess and Gail fight to the outside, and Tara connects with Widows Peak in the ring. Karen gets on the apron to distract the ref though, so Gail Kim runs in and nails Tara with the falling foot to the face. Thats a three and we have new knockout tag team champions. Garrett Bischoff says tonight hell apologise to Eric tonight his way. And when we come back from commercial, hes in the ring calling out his dad. Easy E comes out of course. Garrett says hes sorry for not living up to his expectations and for letting him down at Bound For Glory. What Im most sorry about is that I didnt do this years ago. SMACK, Garrett lays out his father and gets in a few more shots on the mat. Flair and Gunner run down to save the boss and Garrett clears out. Sting meets up with Samoa Joe backstage who is asking Sting if he needs anything. Joe thanks him for the match last week but says thats not enough to shut him up. Sting understands then Eric and the Nature Boy walk up to him. Eric says he wants Garrett in a match and if Sting gives him what he wants, he can alter Erics contract how he likes. Id alter it with a delete button. Also backstage, Chris Daniels is feeling cocky and still thinks he beat AJ Styles in that I Quit Match. He just wants recognition in the form of a title match. He brings up beating RVD, who just happens to walk up behind him. After going on a bit about a screwdriver, the invisible interviewer asks Rob his thoughts, and he decks Daniels. The two brawl and Chris gets thrown into a wall. He pulls down a stack of chairs and sprints out of there. Jesse Sorensen vs. Austin Aries Kid Kash joins the commentary team. Aries feigns a handshake and decks Jesse. High dropping elbow. Kash is sick of Jesse. Meanwhile, Jesse flies outside with a vaulting body press but Aries moves out of the way. Aries follows up with a beautiful suicide dive through the ropes. Back in the ring he pulls Jesse back by the rights, gets a knee breaker and a backdrop then the Aries Elbow. He goes for a corner charge next but Jesse boots him down. Jesse goes up top now and he misses another move in a frog splash cross body. Aries this time gets his corner dropkick. He goes for one more and hits that too. Aries picks him up for a suplex while Kash yells GO HOME! He must be picking up the refs instructions because Sorensen rolls up Aries and pins him for three. After the match Aries and Kash get together on the ramp and Kash says he should get his knife and cut that little bitch. Dayum. Bro, its time for Robbie E and Rob Terry. The Two Robbies call out Eric Young and Ronnie. Robbie E says hes been waiting on getting face to face with Ron for ages. He tells him that his show sucks bro. And he tells him that HE sucks (while standing behind Terry.) Robbie tells him he can kick his ass anytime he wants Bro. Ronnie says how bout right now? Robbie E says we dont do it right now bro, but why doesnt he do himself a favour hamster, pack his bag hamster and go to his hamster car and get out of the arena before he punks him out like Situation did. Ronnie has enough and tackles him. Terry clonks him on the head to get him off. Eric Young jumps onto Terry, who throws him off and clubs him down. He puts Ronnie in a front face lock and Robbie E whips him on the back with his belt. The Two Robbies stand tall again over Eric Young. Robbie Es gimmick might have a limited time period, but he is good on the mic. Eric Young gets a mic again. He hypes Jersey Shore again and says he has to clear it with his friend Sting, but next week The Two Robbies face Ronnie and Young. Ronnie did a decent job to be honest. But I dont need to see him wrestle my dude. Jeff Jarrett and Bully Ray w/Karen vs. Mr Anderson and Jeff Hardy Hardy and Bully start and Jeff has the better of him until Bully slams him down by his arm. Jarrett tags in. Hardy gets whipped into the corner and almost forgets to bounce back out with a clothesline. He goes off the ropes and Karen trips him. Bully tags in and takes over. Jeff drapes him over the ropes and drops a leg on him then does the Double J Strut. Hardy manages a tag to Anderson not long after who comes in all over Bully. A neck breaker gets him a two. They double team Bully and Jarrett with the Hardys trademark corner moves. Then they both go for their own Swanton Bombs. Out of nowhere, Scott Steiner jumps on the apron and takes out Anderson, then Hardy. Immortal take them out and stand tall. Sting finds Garrett and tells him about Erics proposition. Matt Morgan gets mic time in ring and calls out Crimson. Morgan says whole time they both fought Joe, all hes been asked is When is Crimson going to take on the Blueprint. Morgan says theres no seven foot man who can touch him in the ring. To be fair thats only like 4 people. Crimson says it seems to be what they all want to see. He says his unbeaten streak wouldnt be the real deal if he didnt take out anybody and everybody. Hes willing to bet his bank account on it. I hope he does, imagine his new gimmick was a broke wrestling hobo. Too bad Raven did it already. Match made for next PPV. TNA Title MatchJames Storm vs. Bobby Roode The way it should be, without a Bischoff segment after the match. They shake hands and bro fist at the bell. They exchange reversals, counters and missed moves from the outset. An ad break interrupts. When we come back, Storm has Roode backed into a corner and chopping away at him. Roode reverses it and chops him back. Snap mare, but misses the neck snap. Storm knees him down. Superplex from Storm, both men struggle to their knees and then feet exchanging punches. Storm with a high back body. Roode with a Block Buster. Storm goes up top and he hits a cross body but Roode rolls through into a 2. Storm calls for the Eye of the Storm but Roode slips out and gets a Spine Buster. Another two. Back on their feet, they take a tumble to the floor. On the way back into the ring, Roode counters a draping DDT attempt into a Crippler Crossface. He screams at Storm to tapHe crawls instead.Almost at the rope Roode grabs his other arm, but he manages to lay a foot on the bottom rope. Fans getting well behind this match. Up top again, Storm throws Roode off to the ring face first. Manages to hit him with a flying elbow! One, Two, Kickout! Last Call Super Kick attempt Caught, spun around, Fisherman attempt, Storm blocks that one. Roode shoves him into the way of the ref and charges, ref has to dive out of the way to the outside. Somehow manages to injure his leg in the process too (sigh.) Brian Hebner youd think those expensive shoes would absorb some shock. Camera goes right up on Storm at ringside and a shot from behind Storms beer bottle shoes Roode see it and pick it up. Youd almost think the camera man knew he was gunna do it. Almost. Roode picks it up and smashes it over Storms head. Instant BOOS. He covers. The ref has to slide and count the pin. And then sell his knee again. Robert Roode is your new TNA Champion. He even spits on Storm and puts a foot on him. Mike Tenay: Thats how you treat a brother? BULLSHIT! And thats our last words for the evening.
