TNA’s 2024 Return: 10 Things That MUST Happen
6. Embrace “Stepping Stone” Status
It’s absolutely fine if TNA becomes an unofficial feeder to WWE and AEW. No, really. That doesn’t mean the company will tank or won't thrive as a valid alternative. Being third in North America isn’t exactly a bad spot so long as the place has an identity and a fanbase that leaves shows satisfied with the product.
Realistically, no matter how good this relaunch is, rising stars like Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, Josh Alexander and others will catch attention from WWE or AEW. That's business, and there's pretty much nothing TNA can do to stop it. The sooner they accept that, the better it'll be for everyone.
Let's not pretend that TNA is going to be the must visit destination for talent biz-wide.
It isn't even some dreadful thing if Total Nonstop Action readies workers for bigger spots elsewhere. In fact, it could help put eyeballs on the product. 'Come see the place where stars are made'. That sort of thing. There are worse ideas.
