TNA: The Evolution Of Bully Ray
BUH BUH RAY DUDLEY - ECW, 1995-1999 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdM5oJGrU4I After impressing ECW booker Paul Heyman in a match against 911 LaMonaco was hired and repackaged as the vile, stuttering, bespectacled bully Buh Buh Ray Dudley and immediately inserted into wrestling's most dysfunctional family The Dudley Family. His comedic dancing idiot character was given a dangerous makeover in 1996 when his Kayfabe half brother D-Von debuted and reminded his 'brothers' that the comedic circus act they had become was not "The Dudley way". The two men would feud briefly but eventually become a tag team. The rest as they say is history. Buh Buh and D-Von became the ferocious Dudley Boyz and would rise instantly to the top of Extreme Championship Wrestling winning a record 8 tag team championships defeating great teams like The Public Enemy, The Eliminators and RVD and Sabu along the way. It was during his time in ECW that Buh Buh honed his craft as an antagonist on the microphone and his promos very nearly caused riots on several occasions. Sadly he has never really been given the same freedom since.
