WWE borrowed a page from AEW's book last night.

WWE's empty arena setup was switched on last night's Raw, with the promotion moving the hard camera away from the empty rows of seats at one side of the Performance Center so that it was facing the entrance ramp, stage, and screen instead.

A welcome change and one that made Raw a lot more interesting to look at. Still, that the move was first made by AEW on last week's episode of Dynamite didn't go unnoticed.

AEW President Tony Khan tweeted the following in response to Bryan Alvarez last night:-

Nothing but a spot of light-hearted fun here, then, as Khan gifs a popular Willem Dafoe line from Spider-Man (2002).

WWE didn't go as far as having wrestlers sit at ringside throughout the show. This made a difference on Dynamite, as while the constant chitter-chatter of a dozen big personalities can't compensate for a white-hot audience of thousands, it made the show feel more alive.

Both promotions have done well to keep producing content under circumstances that nobody could ever have seen coming. Here's hoping they maintain their standards as this thing progresses.
