Tony Khan discusses three-hour Dynamites and possibly expanding AEW's weekly TV output.

With AEW having run occasionally three-hour programming blocks in recent weeks and months, Tony Khan is "very open" to doing more of this should the opportunity arise.

Due to the NBA and NHL, there have been times when AEW's schedule has been rejigged, such as having Rampage air directly after Dynamite or directly after Collision. And during an interview with CBS Sports, the AEW President addressed running more three-hour blocks or possibly even making Dynamite a three-hour show.

Seemingly referencing the various issues suffered by WWE Raw switching from two hours to three, Khan explained:

"You want to keep Dynamite as strong as possible. You look at the history of what happened with the two-hour wrestling show when that show was expanded to three hours. It's interesting right now per hour, the most we get per hour for any of our TV shows is Dynamite. Either way, five-hour weekly programming is the absolute minimum. So in some ways you would say, 'That would be a very lucrative opportunity'. I think it's a very interesting conversation to have about how many nights a week you allocate to programming. Is five hours the best? Should we do six?"

Khan added how he's "tasted blood" and could "easily" be convinced to expand AEW's weekly TV line-up.

While he seemed to play down talk of outright expanding Dynamite to three hours, Tony did stress how he's "very open" to doing more of those three-hour blocks of AEW programming, noting how there's a "good chance" fans will see more of that.

For now, AEW's weekly output consists of two hours of Dynamite on Wednesdays, one hour of Rampage on Fridays, and two hours of Collision on Saturdays, in addition to the company's recently expanded PPV line-up.
