The top WWE diva in 2014 was the 22 year old British beauty named Paige. She made her main roster debut the night after WrestleMania 30 with no build at all. The heel Divas Champion AJ Lee wondered what she was doing out there. A match was made, Paige quickly hit the Paige Turner and left with the Divas Title. It was a memorable debut that we won't soon forget. Paige started as a face, but it didn't seem like a natural fit for her. She has an edge about her. Her darker look is more of a heel gimmick, so WWE turned her heel during her spring and summer feud with AJ Lee that probably went on too long thanks to all their title changes. If you look at her matches this year, the best one was probably from the NXT special back in February when she beat Emma because they got more than ten minutes. When she had matches on the main roster, they suffered from the same lack of time issues that was mentioned with the other divas. Paige is one of the youngest talents on WWE's main roster, yet she doesn't look out of place at all. She absolutely belongs with the others because of her ability to deliver quality promos, have good matches on a consistent basis and she's fantastic at playing off the crowd. That's what happens when you grow up in a wrestling family. It's in the blood. With a bright future ahead of her in 2015 and beyond, Paige can look back on 2014 with a smile because she was the best diva that WWE had this year. She probably will be again too.
