It's been an interesting year for the wife of Daniel Bryan. The couple got married shortly after WrestleMania 30 and then she was featured in storylines with Bryan, which included some bad acting during his feud with Kane. Remember those awful car scenes? Really bad. When Bryan got hurt, Brie kept on doing the whole "Yes" thing and that led to issues with Stephanie McMahon, which led to Brie quitting in the storyline. She was brought back, then her sister Nikki turned on her during a huge match with Stephanie at SummerSlam. Two months later, Brie ended up turning heel even though she never got revenge on her sister. Bad writing. Brie actually has the distinction of main eventing Raw two times in the lead up to SummerSlam. Her segments with Stephanie were just promos to build up their match, but it still showed that WWE had a lot of confidence in her. Some of the writing surrounding Brie this year has been bad at times. However, if you watch her in the ring she has improved a lot. Her offense looks really good. She's good at selling moves. It's the acting that isn't great. The best thing about her heel turn is something I have said many times before: we don't have to hear that awful "Brie Mode" song again. It's not like the Bella Twins song is great, but anything is better than that Brie Mode song.
