It's been an interesting year for Natalya because there have been times where it looked like WWE was going to really get behind her for a big push, but then they just stopped it randomly. She's also gone outside of the divas division as part of the storyline with her husband Tyson Kidd where he's doing the gimmick of the bad husband that neglects his wife. Where Natalya deserves credit is her in-ring work. The two best divas matches in 2014 were Natalya vs. Charlotte in May at NXT Takeover, which was 17 minutes of amazing wrestling with near counters and plenty of submissions. It was outstanding. The other match was Natalya vs. AJ Lee on Main Event back in March. It's one of those matches that would be remembered a lot more if it was on a bigger show or a PPV. The match went 14:19 and it's the longest Divas Championship match ever. What Natalya brings WWE is consistency. She's the one diva that is always going to have a very good match no matter who is in the ring with her and she'll make that woman look good. It doesn't matter if they have a three minute match ending in a stupid rollup or she actually gets time - she will always deliver. It appears management knows that, but she should also receive more. If you look at her career, it's a shame that she's only held the Divas Title that one time in 2010. She should have multiple runs considering her talent level. Whether she wins it again or not next year, we don't know. Looking back on 2014, though, she should be proud of the year she had because she really did a great job all things considered.
