Triple H Called This Current WWE Star's Attitude "A Downer"

Someone's comments to the media didn't cut it for Triple H; WWE star agrees.

Sami Zayn has revealed that Triple H pulled him aside following WWE's post-Elimination Chamber 2023 press conference this past February, and asked why he'd been such "a downer" when answering media questions.

Zayn told Ryan Satin's 'Out Of Character' show that he was legitimately bummed out following his loss to Roman Reigns on the PLE. Chamber happened in Montreal, and it was such a special show to Sami personally that he wondered if WWE should've pulled the trigger on a shock title switch.

He understands why they didn't, of course, but emotions were still raw when Zayn sat down to field questions shortly afterwards. Triple H didn't understand why Sami was so upset, because he'd just main-evented a pay-per-view in one of the hottest matches of the year and had taken fans on quite the journey.

Hunter figured the wrestler would be elated with his hard work when telling that story.

During the interview, Zayn admitted that he "kind of saw" where Trips was coming from. It's taken him a while, but he now gets the magic both he and Roman created earlier this year. Hunter wanted to remind him how far he'd come.
