TV Ratings For Latest WWE SmackDown Vs. AEW Rampage Head To Head Battle
SmackDown and Rampage both did well against heavy competition this past week.
WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage both performed well last Friday, despite heavy competition from two NBA games on ESPN.
In its 8 PM-10 PM ET slot on FS1, having once again been pre-empted from FOX, SmackDown drew an average of 1.032 million viewers across its two hours, including 373,000 in the key 18-49 demographic. This was enough for a 0.29 rating, with SmackDown finishing third on the night amongst original cable telecasts. SmackDown was up from the last time it aired on FS1, when the show was watched by 866,000 viewers on 15 October.
AEW Rampage, meanwhile, drew 623,000 overall viewers between 10 PM and 11 PM on TNT. This included 320,000 in P18-49 for a rating of 0.25, meaning the show finished fourth on the night.
Rampage and SmackDown were outdone only by the aforementioned NBA games, which finished first and second on the night.
The third World Series game between the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros, which was why SmackDown was preempted, drew 11.2 million P2+ viewers and hit a 2.41 18-49 rating on FOX.
This was an interesting week, competition-wise, as WWE reneged on plans to air Talking Smack head to head with Rampage. Instead, SmackDown was followed by two blue brand consecutive replays. The first, from 10 PM to midnight, drew 278,000 overall viewers and 119,000 P18-49, including one hour against Rampage.
