UFC On ESPN: Kattar Vs. Ige Predictions

2. Abdul Razak Alhassan Vs. Mounir Lazzez

This one won't see the judges.

After two years away following legal issues, Alhassan is back after initially storming through the organization with a reputation for starching his opponents in the first round. In his return fight, he welcomes another fellow knockout artist Mounir Lazzez to the UFC in his Octagon debut.

Razzak is a powerhouse: every single one of his ten victories has come inside the first round via knockout. His lone loss was a close split decision against Omar Akhmedov where he won the stand-up, but the Dagestani was able to neutralize him with wrestling enough to avoid his power and take the judges' nod.

The fight is almost certainly not going to the ground as both men like to stand and trade, and Mounir will be the bigger man on the night by three inches. His only loss came when he was controlled on the ground and despite Abdul starting off in Judo he rarely utilizes it in his fights.

Alhassan’s coming off a painful two-year layoff and Lazzez is not an easy tune-up fight, coming in off back-to-back first-round finishes, the latest in under a minute. The younger man could ruin the 'Judo Thunder' return party easily with a single blow.

Abdul has more experience, has beaten better fighters and ring-rust hopefully shouldn’t play a factor. Either way we are seeing a big knockout, and it should be another first-round steamrolling for Alhassan to add to his record.

Prediction: Alhassan Via KO
