Undisputed Era's Kyle O'Reilly is the latest confirmed entrant in the upcoming NXT Gauntlet Eliminator match to decide NXT Champion Finn Balor's challenger at the next Takeover event.

The news broke on Saturday that O'Reilly would be getting the chance to prove himself as a singles competitor in a contest which will involve five hungry performers in total. The match will begin with two stars going head-to-head before another entrant is added to the mix every four minutes. A wrestler can only be eliminated from the contest via pinfall or submission and the last person standing will be named as the number one contender to 'The Prince's newly won NXT Championship.

O'Reilly joins both Kushida and Cameron Grimes as an announced participant in the match, with the remaining two names set to be revealed over the next few days.

In recent weeks, it appears the UE have taken some time to focus on their own specific storylines. Adam Cole was focused on Pat McAfee for a spell before unsuccessfully challenging for the NXT gold on two occasions. With Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish also involved in a growing feud with Drake Maverick and Killian Dain, could this be the time for O'Reilly to strike out on his own for a while?

Only time will tell, but this week's episode of NXT look's like it simply cannot be missed.
