Update On Kenny Omega's Injury Status After AEW Dynamite

Latest on Kenny Omega and Dragon Lee after THAT AEW Dynamite dive.

AEW

Kenny Omega returned to AEW last night, teaming with The Young Bucks against La Faccion Ingobernable in his first wrestling match since taking nine months off to heal various injuries and ailments in November 2021.

It was a fast-paced bout typical in pace for this format in AEW, with Kenny starring in the most jaw-dropping spot. Held back by Andrade El Idolo and Rush, who restrained him at the barricade, Omega was sent flying over the guardrail and to the other side by a propulsive Dragon Lee dive.

The move was so impactful that it had people legitimately worried about Omega and Lee's condition coming out of it. More so for Kenny, whose pre-return injury sheet read like the average weekly shopping list.

Fortunately, though, Omega is okay. Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that 'The Cleaner' was doing fine after the match and Dragon Lee was likely the same as well. If it looked like they were hurt coming out of the spot, it was probably a product of effective selling.

Omega scored the decisive pinfall on Lee in the bout, taking him down via One-Winged Angel.
