There's still been no decision made on precisely which match will headline Night 1 of WrestleMania 39.

While Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is fully expected to conclude Night 2 of this year's Show of Shows, Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE are still yet to make their minds up when it comes to the other night's main event.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, though, the current favourite for that card-closing spot is Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley, with some feeling that for sponsors and political reasons, and after men main evented both nights last year, having a women's match headline would be the best call.

And with Ripley/Flair over the SmackDown Women's Championship being seen as a stronger match than Bianca Belair vs. Asuka for the red brand's belt by folks backstage, the former pair seem to be in pole position to finish that night's action.

Though it is worth adding that Dave felt Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. The Usos, should that match actually happen, would be another strong favourite to main event, too.

Elsewhere, the Observer also dived into which matches could potentially be added to the biggest show of the year, with Meltzer stating that whatever the plan was for Brock Lesnar (and it wasn't GUNTHER, apparently) changed in the last few weeks. And while next week's angle could set-up a swerve of sorts, TV would lead you to believe that Omos vs. Lesnar is the current plan.

Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins is said to be "a lock". Edge vs. Finn Balor is looking likely, with a major stipulation feeling almost certain. While Austin Theory and John Cena battling over the US title, Bobby Lashley and Bray Wyatt locking horns, and Dominik Mysterio fighting his father Rey Mysterio are all being lined up for the epic event, too.

And Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler will be challenging for the Women's Tag Team Championships, with the former MMA fighters likely taking on the winner of the Damage CTRL vs. Becky Lynch & Lita match on the next edition of Raw.

Simply put, WrestleMania 39 is starting to look somewhat stacked.
