Update On Randy Orton's WWE Injury Status

Here's what happened with Randy Orton's suspected shoulder injury last week.

Randy Orton suffered a deep bruise around his arm and shoulder while wrestling Riddle on last week's WWE Raw.

This is according to Fightful Select. The outlet issued its report prior to last night's Raw, on which Orton teamed with Riddle to face Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin, noting, at the time, that the damage didn't appear to be significant enough to sideline Orton for a significant period of time.

Orton and Riddle ended up beating Alexander and Benjamin on the show, with Randy telling the former United States Champion he had earned his respect in last week's battle, despite their contrasting personalities.

Last week's match saw Randy noticeably favouring his arm and shoulder. If he was hurting last night, he didn't show it.

Riddle scored the victory for his and Orton's team, hitting the Floating Bro for the three-count. Rebuffing Riddle's attempt at hugging him after the bell, Orton left the ring, letting his new tag team partner celebrate alone while Corey Graves speculated on Orton potentially nailing the former UFC fighter with an RKO.

How long this odd couple tandem will last on WWE remains to be seen.
